MTA seeks minority candidates for internship program

MTA seeks highly motivated and committed minorities interested in working within the MTA staff structure as Regional Representatives (part-time UniServ Directors). Candidates must be active members of the MTA. MTA will cover expenses for a minimum two-year training cycle, including skill building in the following areas:

  • community organizing
  • problem-solving
  • advocacy
  • conflict resolution
  • political action
  • government relations
  • organization and leadership development
  • improving training skills
  • overview of Massachusetts education statutes and procedures.

Each intern will have an opportunity to work with a volunteer mentor who will assist the intern during the work experience phase after each skill training. MTA does not guarantee full-time or part-time employment to interns, but does commit to providing opportunities for skill development and growth during the program. MTA will assist interns in making applications to the �NEA Affirmative Action UniServ Intern Program.�
